    Truth: One of the fastest ways to retreat back to our childhood is via a film that conjures up memories of simpler times — not to mention, our extraordinary imagination. A favorite that still tops our list has to be The Wizard of Oz. We wanted Dorothy's ruby-red slippers even more than the Wicked Witch of the West and couldn't help but get misty eyed when Ms. Gale said good-bye to her newfound friends. Even if you're not a kid anymore, we still say it's worth checking out the the new amped up version of this old classic, Oz the Great and Powerful, hitting theaters on Friday, March 8 — even if it is only to see James Franco.

    In the spirit of the new film, several restaurants in Chicago have created specialty cocktails that are as strong and powerful as the great Oz himself. Sparkle like Glinda the Good Witch with Le Colonial's Sweet Rebel, or stroll down the yellow brick road with sola’s bright-yellow Wicked Wahine — just be sure you don't have too many.
