Kate Winslet Is The Embodiment Of Old-School Glamour On Her Latest Cover

2012 was quite a year for Kate Winslet. She married her husband, Ned Rocknroll, as well as receiving her CBE for services to drama. Congratulations all round. Despite all that, she still found time to grace the cover and star in the 10-page accompanying fashion portfolio for Harper’s Bazaar U.K.’s April issue — and a very nice job she does, too.

In her interview with the magazine’s editor, Justine Picardie, Winslet describes the impact the previous years have had on her, “I’ve really learnt a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular. I think I can see more clearly now – about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the characters I have played – and I’m grateful for that.” She also reveals (as we had always secretly suspected) that when she received her CBE from the Queen, she verified: “Oh my God, she [the Queen] looks amazing.
