Back To Basics: A Smartphone Film Scanner Is Finally Here!

In a city as equally obsessed with smartphones as quality snaps, you’d think that S.F. has seen it all when it comes to photo apps and add-ons. But, no — the cool kids at Lomography have proved us dead wrong with a must-have smartphone film scanner. If you ask us, this gadget is pretty close to pure genius, and makes scanning 35mm film as easy as hitting that mock shutter button on your touch screen. Seriously, being able to edit negative scans into positives and stitching together panoramas on an iPhone 5 — we never thought we'd see the day!

Added bonus? Besides being able to print and share the scanned film, you can totally tote this little gizmo around with you. The Instagram camera's got nothing on this!
So, if you’re down to look like a total shutterbug boss, make a pledge on Kickstarter to secure yourself one of these bad boys come March!
