Lena Dunham's acceptance speech at last night's Golden Globes was exactly the earnest, heartfelt, charmingly unscripted fare you'd expect from the Girls star. But there was one part we didn't expect: Towards the end, she tacked on a big thank-you to Chad Lowe.
Yeah, the younger folks at the office weren't so sure who that was, either. A bit of Googling will reveal he's the brother to Rob Lowe, and was once married to Hilary Swank. His former wife notoriously forgot to thank him on stage years ago, so Lena promised herself she'd make up for it (according to a Tweet from PopSugar by way of the Golden Globes press room). Apparently, though, the rapport goes a little deeper — the two have been tweeting back and forth at each other for months, sharing the mutual love and repeatedly stating that they're both "big fans" of one another.
