The Prospect Of An East London Cat Cafe Is Totally Giving Us Paws Pause

Put your paws up, London kitties and the humans who love them. The Taiwanese trend of opening "cat cafes" devoted to those of the feline persuasion might just be coming to East London — that is, if a few hundred animal lovers can fork up the cash to make it happen.
Cat lover Lauren Pears is looking for some £108,000 in donations on crowdfunding site IndieGoGo to help establish Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium, a cafe where felines, their owners, and those deprived of furry TLC due to strict anti-pet housing regulations can socialise, nibble on pastries, and lick themselves to their heart's content. Up for a road trip, Grumpy Cat?

"We're trying to make Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium feel like a real London place," Pears says in a video pitch. "We're going for a Victorian-style decor. We want to make sure it feels like a really luxurious place to go."
Old furniture, all the tea you can drink, and kittens crawling everywhere? Sounds like our nan's. (Time Out London)
