Obama Invites 1D To D.C., Raises The Bar For Dads Everywhere

If you were, say, the president of the United States and wanted to extend an awesome thank-you gift to your tween daughters for their love and support during what might be the most brutal election season yet, what would you do? If you're Barack Obama, you surprise them with an in-house performance by the latest boy-band sensation. That’s right, the prez and first lady have invited the boys of One Direction to the White House for Sasha and Malia’s enjoyment.
Though the first family hasn’t set a date for the performance yet, the young crooners will be heading to town on June 23 as part of their 2013 world tour (you know, in case you don't snag an official invite to the private show). Getting to stick around Washington for four more years and getting a private performance from your favorite pop stars? What lucky girls! (MTV)
