Katy Perry is getting serious. Aside from the fact that the pop singer is ditching outfits with whirring/moving parts, she's also been getting rather political lately, making a very clear statement in an actual election ballot dress at a Las Vegas rally. It looks like her recent political activism paid off: K.P. spent her birthday lunching with her new favorite first lady, Michelle Obama.
The singer tweeted a photo yesterday of her and the FLOTUS, adding, "NOW my bday is complete! Lunch with @MichelleObama #chicvote." That's certainly one way to get the birthday festivities rolling.
Perhaps MObama then felt compelled to fulfill Perry's "Teenage Dream" after all that support. One thing is certain: They both look pretty stoked, and nervous, to be in each other's presence.
