It may be a sign that we're not quite out of the great recession, or, perhaps, a warning of the apocalypse. Hard to tell. Either way, we were a little shocked and a lot amused when we heard that the 99¢ Only Store announced "a search for a retail property on Rodeo Drive to bring great deals and everyday low prices to the affluent Beverly Hills, CA shopping hub." Lovely. A Tom Ford store and a place to get a 24 pack of Shasta for $4.80? Truly, Rodeo will soon have it all. (WWD)
