Who would you love to see rocking your designs on Sunday's red carpet?
"There are so many, but actually the work I do isn’t so much geared towards those events. Instead, my designs are more for women's special styles, the day-to-day, really everyday."

Are there any characters on a specific show that epitomize the “Derek Lam girl”?
"I’m sure there are a few. This show isn’t even on anymore, but I love Girlfriends. It’s about a couple of gals who were very stylish, cool, and they lived their life on their own terms."
