It’s not even August yet, but our heads are already spinning with visions of Fashion Week. And today, we may have received our favorite NYFW news yet. Iggy Azalea announced last night on Twitter that she is “learning to walk in NYC next month in prep for fashion week.” This is seriously amazing news, and not just because we’re slightly obsessed with the rapper-slash-singer’s impossibly catchy beats (but also because we are slightly obsessed with the rapper-slash-singer's impossibly catchy beats).
Sure, with her sky-high cheekbones and towering stature, Azalea is a total knockout. And she is technically a model (albeit, one with only a month-long career, so far — she signed a contract with Wilhemina Models in mid-June), but she also has a swagger and style that's all her own. Between her tattoos, signature cat-eye, that high ponytail, and her penchant for ultra-revealing clothes, Azalea is a far cry from most other models. We’re suckers for catwalk queens who don’t just act as clothing racks, and we have a feeling Azalea will definitely make whatever clothes she’d modeling her own.
