Strange Bedfellows: Banana Republic x Virgin Airlines?

banana-1
In more strange fashion-collab news, we got word this AM that Banana Republic is helping Virgin Airlines spruce up their flight-crew uniforms with a new line of retro-inspired ensembles. Not much word yet on what it will look like, but if the photo is any indication, we're not totally sure how these translate to life on the ground. Although the more we think about it, a little uniform-chic never hurt anyone ... maybe it's time to watch Catch Me If You Can again?
The collection of airline-inspired sunglasses, tote bags and other accessories will be available to customers on August 7 via Virgin Airlines' Red Shop platform and in select Banana Republic stores, and flight crew members will sport full Banana Republic-designed uniforms. Another surprising aspect to this unlikely partnership is the fact that the clothes will be modeled by actual flight attendants and other crew members — an unexpected victory for non-models everywhere. Would you wear these high-flying looks?
