It was noon on a Friday — exactly the time any sensible person wants to start shopping and sipping drinks. No, seriously — we were very happy to be invited to host the opening of the brand-new, quite impressive LOFT store at Rockefeller Center last Friday, but we were a little concerned that the rest of the public might not have the free time to join us for cocktails, chic goods, and tunes spun by an in-house DJ during prime working hours. Oh how wrong we were. The Refinery faithfuls and LOFT lovers alike crowded in for the chance to get styled up for summer by our own New York Editor, Annie Georgia Greenberg, enjoy a little afternoon tipple, and went home with a few chic gifts. As the first true "Summer Friday" of the season, we couldn't have hoped for a better way to kick off our favorite time of the year.
