Retrofit Your Hair With A '40s Updo

Our hairstyle gem of the week: 1940s victory rolls and smooth curls spotted in a new Urban Outfitters feature. We're clearly welcoming back retro hair this season, and without a doubt, this look is just plain gorgeous. To ease into the the style, side part your hair then sweep it across your forehead and pin loosely on the side. Ready to go full-on throwback? Tweak the look by creating just one roll and pulling your hair back into a ponytail or low bun, or double roll it and let your curls flow. Instead of pairing the hairstyle with a bright red lipstick or black liquid eyeliner, keep things modern with a nude lip and brown smoky eye.
