When it comes to wedding inspiration, nothing is quite so magical as seeing what real couples do for their big day. Since 100 Layer Cake is our source for peeping the most beautiful ways brides and grooms say "I do," it'll feature weddings from Australia to Napa and everything in between. Brides beware: You're going to want to pin just about everything you see. And even if you're not engaged, you'll want to check it out just for the love story.
With the help of their loved ones, Amanda and Michael spent practically every day of their two-year engagement designing and collecting and crafting away. From the elegant invitation suite to the fabric and lace flowers to Amanda’s absolutely stunning gown, almost every gorgeous little detail in this Seattle soiree was a DIY. Check out the rest of Yvonne Wong’s soft and lovely photos, and read on to hear just how Indiana Jones (yep, Indiana Jones!) inspired their big day.

From Amanda: "I spent the first three months of our engagement drooling over wedding blogs and the billion wedding magazines I had collected since being a little girl. I found myself gravitating toward something timeless with a neutral and metallic palette. I then asked Mike what he wanted our theme to be and he said with serious enthusiasm, 'Indiana Jones.' The world stopped and for a brief second I thought, 'What did I get myself into?' After many questions trying to get to the bottom of what about Indiana Jones he liked, we came to the conclusion it was the time period. The late ‘20s and early ‘30s — how well-made everything was, how dapper the men looked and glamorous the women, the attention to detail — and so our vintage Hollywood glam theme was born." "My dress was made from start to finish by my mom, a seamstress-turned-chocolatier. She executed my vision beautifully, and hand-down beat out every high-end gown I tried on. From the fabrics to hand-beading the bodice (yes, she beaded the entire thing!) and the embroidered blue heart from my dad’s shirt who passed away unexpectedly the September before, I literally could not imagine anything more stunning."
